I recently went to Sun Stoppers to get the tint removed from my back windows. They were incredibly nice people and finished my car quite quickly. However, when I picked up my car, I noticed that the tint on the front driver's side window was peeling off at the top. I have never had issues with the tint on this window. To me, it looks like someone started to remove the tint from the window, since it is loose all along the top. The work they did on my back windows was very good, which is why this isn't a 1-star review. Overall though, I am very disappointed.

Sunstoppers is the best. I had them tint the windows and apply PPF on my Tesla. They did an excellent job. Then I recently had an incident where I scraped the side wheel well on my garage door frame. Looked like the PPF got scraped. It would have been hundreds to remove and replace it. Instead they looked at it tried a couple of things, and then ended up buffing it off. It was just white ‘stuff’ on it. And they didn’t charge me anything for it! Great customer service. Thanks Ashley, Andrew and Gil!

Brought my '21 Corolla Hatchback for the 88% Heat protection Ceramic tint on all 4 doors and rear hatch. Tint was professionally installed by the team there. Kelly was quick about getting me scheduled in a timely fashion and answered all my questions prior to the install. Total install time took about 90 minutesAs for the tint itself, it went above my expectations. Prior to the tint, my car was a literal oven and the steering wheel was always too hot to handle as the sun beams directly at it. First day after install though, I immediately noticed that wherever the tint had blocked was much cooler than anything that was beamed by the sun through the front windshield. Well worth the price I paid to have a car several degrees cooler in the summer.Will definitely keep this place in mind for all future tinting needs.

He was willing to stay late to ensure I could have the tint removed from my windows the same day I called. When I thought I needed the tint removed from the front windshield, he explained I only needed the front two windows and the “visor” removed to make it street legal. He saved me $80! Fantastic experience with Sun Stoppers in Mt. Pleasant. These guys really know what they are doing! I brought my 2015 Porsche Macan S for PPF replacement on the bumper and hood due to damage from minor contact with another vehicle. They partnered with Tier 1 Detailing next door to ensure the car was cleaned, polished and prepped properly for installation. The PPF was installed perfectly and I could not believe that it was almost unnoticeable compared to the original PPF I had on the car. I was stunned to get my car back looking like it came off of a showroom floor thanks to the combination of a perfect install and excellent detailing by Tier 1.

The owner Rob is an award winning detailer in the discipline of ceramic coating. They mostly work by appointment only which is what I prefer anyway. I'm told that the film has to dry and adhere and the water will dry out. So after about a week everything should be perfect. The film looks good and I like the look of the tint on the car.

Took my wife's car there on 3/25 for an 8:30 appointment. After completing all the paperwork, I was expecting to be there for about an hour. Sunstoppers did another car of mine about two years ago and had no issues. after about 40 minutes, I was told the car was ready. Amazing service and the quality of work is second to none. I was there for maybe an hour and 10 mins max and the job was pretty much done! They were pretty straight forward with everything. You give them the keys, tell them the % of tinting, sign a piece of paper, and they will take your car in the back to do it. After that, pay and you are out! EASY BREEZY.Still waiting on the doors to be cured before I can really tell of any "flaws" but right now, everything looks good. Only a tiny bubble formed the other day but I smoothed it out.** FYI: Drop off your car instead of waiting. Although I was in there by myself at 9am, they said they can get fairly busy and prefer people to drop off the cars than staying (since only 4 chairs are available to wait and be seated on)...

If I could rate this place higher I would. Few years ago I heard about them an had my tint put on, opted to go darker since at the time I wasn't gonna have to deal with the dumbest NC tint law (it's who you know), fast forward and DMV has cracked down on all tint below 35%, Sun Stoppers Southend was able to hook me up with a cheap removal and were talented enough to save the first layer. If you want a QUALITY tint job with hands down the best customer service, make the call and set an appointment. Fantastic experience with Sunstoppers in Southport. The last time I got a vehicle tinted in another state, I had to leave my car at the shop for over 8 hours. Sunstoppers texted me with a quote in the morning and they were able to offer me an appointment for that afternoon. I only had my driver and passenger windows tinted because the rest of my vehicle was factory tinted. The entire process took 40 minutes and I was on my way home. Tint looks great!! The employees had a pretty good attitude. When we were talking about the tint laws, I understood the law was 32%. But the guy told me my front windows needed to be 45%. I didn’t understand and he didn’t do a very good job elaborating. Not to mention, they tried to charge me $450 just to do the front windows on two vehicles. I ended up taking my business to the Tint Shop Plus in Kannapolis where the gentleman took the time to explain how the tint worked on the windows, purchase the high grade tint with a lifetime warranty and came out $200 cheaper than what Sun Stoppers were trying to charge me. After calling several window tint businesses to compare prices, I concluded that $450 for just the front windows on 2 vehicles was a rob.

It's an immense, noticeable difference.Ron Ellis and his son/team were so accommodating for what I needed to get done on my car and went above and beyond what I expected. The tint on my windows from a previous owner was horrendous and they were able to take that off and replace it with tint that looks like it was always on there in just a day.
