Zack and Ricque
Through unconventional circumstances, Zack was propelled into the automotive world at the age of 15, which then led him into the business of Window Tinting in 2004. Shortly after he stepped foot into this industry he was also trained in the processes of applying Ceramic Coatings and installing Paint Protective Film (commonly referred to as PPF). He has been busy offering a combination of these services since 2014.
Establishing his first business in 2004, Zack’s future began to unveil itself. Pursuing growth, he decided to sell his first business in 2013 so that he and his family could move to Colorado from Nebraska and open Greeley Auto Spa in 2014 with the help of his equally motivated wife Ricque’. A choice that has since allowed them to prosper at a more steady pace.
Like many children, Zack was introduced to automotive culture through the beauty of popular culture. Shows like Knight Rider, Dukes of Hazard, and CHIPs were the screenplay to his youth. Hot Wheels and Matchbox collectibles became a source for play and adventure, while also being a reminder of the cars he wanted to own as he grew older.
Don’t be fooled, Zack’s upbringing wasn’t a traditional one, to say the least. He was brought up in a rather rough part of town. Surrounded by substance abuse, addicts, and crime he began to realize that he needed to escape, whatever the cost may be. It was at this moment, a 15-year-old boy became homeless and was jolted into early manhood. Understanding his situation, he knew that he needed to pursue a goal if he was to ever survive on his own. Seeking guidance from his early childhood influences he decided to pursue work in the automotive industry. He was a young kid with zero experience and he knew this, but he was also aware of his internal drive to overcome his previous state of affairs. He took the initiative to apply to a local body shop, requesting that he not get paid until he was able to prove himself. He had the oversight of knowing that the skills he would gain would be the catalyst for his future and livelihood, and to him that was priceless.
Under the guidance of his new mentor, Chris Fuentes, Zack was able to develop a keen eye for details, understand a multitude of processes related to the automotive industry, and slowly began to develop his own business goals. It was this working relationship that helped him form the foundation of who he is today!
“I don’t want to go back to being homeless, having nothing… that is part of the reason why I do what I do. I must succeed in providing clients with the best possible work, products, customer service, and relationships I can. This is my family and I’s livelihood!” Zack states.
Maintaining these ideal obligations is priority number one to this day. With that being said, owning a small family business is extremely tough these days. In order for Zack & Ricque’ to offer what they do, in the quality and timeliness they do, requires a great amount of time. They recently made the decision to team up with Sun Stoppers for the Greeley Auto Spa location (Greeley, CO) and open a second Colorado-based exclusive Sun Stoppers location (Longmont, CO). The Sun Stoppers platform has allowed them to streamline their operation, all while having national support without compromising the couple’s vision… it’s only helped it become more clear!
Clients are more than a number to the husband and wife pair, they become part of the Greeley Auto Spa family, and moving forward with Sun Stoppers means the customer is part of a much larger family now. “Thanks to Sun Stoppers, our customers will now benefit from faster service, more convenience with multiple locations, more communication, along with additional national support if they decide to relocate,” according to Zack.
“We are overly excited to be able to do what we do. We are confident that teaming up with Sun Stoppers will allow us to not only prosper for the sake of the business but also give us the ability to help transform the lives of others along the way.”
