TINT PROTECTION FROM UV RAYS

Protecting yourself from harmful UV rays can literally be a lifesaver. After all, skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States and is most often caused by repeated and unprotected skin exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays.

That why it’s important to consider tinting your entire Corvette, including the windshield, with a clear film to maximize the heat rejection capability of XPEL’s ceramic films XR and XR Plus. We can tint the windshield with a clear film that actually helps reduce glare at night. The difference between XR and XR Plus is the amount of infrared heat each film blocks, 88% and 98%. Both films protect you, your family and your friends from harmful UV rays with a rating of SPF 1,000.

Drive Your Corvette in Privacy

You’re pretty exposed in a car without window tint.

It’s like leaving the house lights on with the blinds open. Anyone can see you or your passengers and make unwanted eye contact.

And in a parking lot, someone walking past can easily see your belongings at a glance.

Protect yourself and what’s in your car from prying eyes with XPEL true-black window tint from Sun Stoppers.

Questions about tinting your Corvette C8? See our answers below...

Are there any Corvette models that you do not offer window tinting for?

No! We’re happy to tint the windows on any model of Corvette you bring to us!

Can you tint windows on a Corvette with one piece of film?

Yes! Thankfully, Corvette windows are fairly normal sized and can easily be covered with one piece of window tint.  This boosts the longevity of your window tint since there are fewer seams where damage can happen.

Are there any particular challenges that come with tinting windows in a high-end car model like the Corvette C8?

Not really. We use the same high-grade XPEL window tints that we do on other vehicles and use the same professional installation techniques as well.

How long does window tint last on a Corvette?

Standard window tint films usually last around 5 years. At Sun Stoppers we use XPEL window tint (XPEL only authorizes a few trusted dealers around the nation with installation to install their premium product) that lasts at least 10 years, and often longer if properly maintained.

Can I roll down newly tinted windows in my car?

No, don’t put your windows up or down after a fresh window tint job. Rolling your windows down too soon can harm the window tint. We recommend waiting 4 days minimum before adjusting your windows. If you want to be extra safe, wait a week before your putting your windows down.

Should I worry about bubbles in new window tint?

It’s likely not a major problem. Bubbles in the window tints are normal for a few hours after installation. However, if there are excessive bubbles, or if the bubbles remain after a week or two, the window tint was not installed properly.

What types of window film do you offer for tinting the windows of a Corvette?

We offer the XPEL Prime XR (88% blockage of infrared heat) and the XPEL Prime XR Plus (98% blockage of infrared heat). Both window films protect you from harmful UV rays with a rating of SPF 1,000.

Is there a legal limit on how dark window tint can be on Corvette models?

Probably – but every state has different laws about how dark vehicle window tint can be. If you are cross state lines while traveling and get stopped for window tint that is legal in your state but NOT your current location, you will likely escape with nothing more than a warning. Visit tintinglaws.com if you aren’t sure about the vehicle tint laws in your state.

How can I keep my car's tinted windows clean?

To keep tinted window clean remember these 2 things:

      1. Use an ammonia-free cleaner. A few good options are Invisible Glass and Meguiar’s Glass Cleaner.
      2. Use soft microfiber cloths when cleaning the windows. Even household items like paper towels with a rougher surface can damage tinted windows.

Other than that, there are no extra special rules!

Anyone that owns or drives a vehicle has experienced the rude heatwave that meets you when you open your car door on a sweltering summer day.  You only have two options:

  1. Roll down the windows
  2. Crank up the AC

Either way, it’s going to take a few minutes for the car cabin to cool down to a moderate temperature – even in luxury cars like a Corvette C8. In the meantime, all you can do is grit your teeth and bear it.

Or is it?

No, it’s not. We’re here to tell you that it’s time to make your Corvette safer, cooler, and more private.

It’s time you got the best window tinting services available for your Corvette.  It’s time you got XPEL Corvette window tinting from Sun Stoppers!

However, a hot cabin is only one problem that comes with the sun beating down on your Corvette C8.

Maybe it’s driving down the road in the mid-afternoon with consistent sun glare in your eyes. Or, maybe it’s knowing you are being exposed to the sun’s UV rays which are fading your car’s interior, and possibly causing skin damage to your body.

Hot car interiors, fading upholstery, sun glare while driving, limited privacy – these are just a few of the problems when you spend hours in a car with limited or no window tint.

Whatever the case, you deserve a car with a cooler interior, more privacy, protection against UV rays, and less direct sunlight.

We all know that window tint can help with all of these problems – so what’s holding you back from taking the plunge?

For many people, it’s the low-quality window tints that turn shades of purple or blue after they are installed. Even worse is the dreaded bubbles, or cracking that comes with cheap automotive window tint.

In the past, window tint had to be very dark to offer real protection from harmful UV rays, and that caused serious problems itself. If you didn’t get stopped for having an illegal tint shade, you had trouble with visibility making you an unsafe driver.

You don’t have to worry about any of those classic window tint problems anymore.

Why?

Because XPEL window tint and Sun Stoppers have teamed up to install a high-quality window tint that checks all the boxes!

Since 1994, Sun Stoppers has been providing the best local car window tinting services available in Charlotte, NC.  As we increase our locations, we are excited to see our U.S. service area grow as well!

Whether you are looking for Corvette window tinting or other car types, we have the tint and film services to provide the privacy, comfort, and UV protection you need.

As a major bonus, the XPEL window tint we use doesn’t change color over time, and our detailed installation practices mean there are no nasty bubbles or cracks in the tint.

Beyond that, you don’t have to get an extremely dark tint to protect yourself from the sun’s rays with XPEL Prime XR Plus. You can protect yourself from the sun, and maintain great visibility!

We believe your Corvette is an investment that needs to be cared for and protected.  Partnering with XPEL, we provide quality tint and paint protection to give your vehicle the best protection available.
