A low-quality tint job often leads to bubbling, purple discoloration, and edges that start to peel after just a few months. Our technicians rely on premium XPEL products and refined installation techniques so every window comes out clean and stays that way for years.
We keep the process simple with 3 easy steps to get your car in and out fast.
Stallings summers are no joke, and a parked car sitting in direct sun can turn into a sauna faster than you think. Auto window tint works by stopping solar heat at the glass, so your cabin stays cooler and you are not blasting the AC the second you get in.
Our CLEAR CERAMIC HEAT REJECTION FILM is fully compliant with North Carolina tint laws and keeps your visibility completely clear. Every installation we perform follows current NC regulations, including the 35% VLT requirement on front side windows.
Research shows that skin cancer tends to develop more frequently on the left side of the body, which is the side that gets the most exposure through the driver’s window. The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends XPEL PRIME XR & XR Plus Window Tint as a reliable defense against harmful UV rays while you drive.
Window tint shade is measured by VLT (Visible Light Transmission), which refers to the percentage of light that passes through the film. The lower the number, the darker the shade. We carry a full range of window tint options that comply with North Carolina’s legal limits.
CERAMIC PARTICLE TECHNOLOGYXPEL PRIME XR & XR Plus rely on advanced ceramic particles to filter the sun's infrared radiation. They outlast and outperform traditional metallized or dyed films in both durability and heat rejection.
SUPERIOR HEAT REJECTIONThe ceramic particle technology in our films stops the majority of the sun's heat-causing infrared energy, keeping your cabin cooler and taking pressure off your air conditioning.
CRYSTAL CLEAR SIGNALUnlike older metallized films, our nano-ceramic technology won't interfere with your radio, cellular, or Bluetooth signals. Your connectivity stays strong.
UV RAY PROTECTIONPlus ceramic particles block harmful UV radiation, giving your skin and interior stronger protection than standard metallized or dyed window films.
Made with nano-ceramic construction, PRIME XR Ceramic Film offers long-lasting clarity and a clean finish while rejecting up to 88% of infrared heat.
Featuring multi-layer nanoparticle technology, PRIME XR PLUS automotive window tint combines a sleek, dark appearance with the highest level of heat rejection performance.
When heat rejection is not your top priority, XPEL PRIME CS is a solid choice. It still blocks 99% of harmful UV rays and delivers color-stable, glare-reducing performance that will not fade, crack, peel, or turn purple over time.
Think about the last time you tried putting a screen protector on your phone and ended up with tiny dust specks and bubbles trapped underneath.
Now picture that happening across your car’s windshield and windows.
With Sun Stoppers Window Tinting, dust, bubbles, and uneven edges are never something you have to worry about.
Over 150,000 window tint installations have allowed us to refine every step of the process, so every vehicle leaves with a clean, flawless finish.
That is why Sun Stoppers is the world’s largest XPEL window tint dealer, and why drivers across Stallings and the Charlotte area trust us with their cars.
There should be no more than a 1/16th” gap at the absolute most, though it should be even tighter than that. At Sun Stoppers, our professional installers achieve a zero light gap, even on frameless doors.
Window tint on its own does not increase gas mileage, but it does help regulate the temperature inside your car. When you rely less on the air conditioner, you can see a small improvement in fuel efficiency. This is especially true for electric vehicles like Teslas, where less AC usage helps preserve battery life and extend driving range.
In North Carolina, all vehicles must allow at least 35% of visible light through the front side windows. For sedans, that same 35% VLT rule applies to rear and back windows as well. SUVs, trucks, and vans can go as dark as you want on the rear glass. No window can exceed 20% reflectivity, and red, amber, and yellow tints are not allowed. Check out our North Carolina tint laws page for a full breakdown.

Stallings is a suburban town in Union and Mecklenburg counties, located about 14 miles southeast of Charlotte, just beyond the I-485 loop. With a population of over 16,000 and growing, it has become one of the most sought-after family communities in the Charlotte metro area.
The town was incorporated in 1975, but its roots go back much further. In the early 1900s, Matthew Thomas Stallings, a farmer and merchant from Cabarrus County, purchased 200 acres along the Mecklenburg County line and opened a country store near the Seaboard Railway track. A sawmill followed, giving the settlement its first real industry, and the community that formed around it took his name. By 2003, Stallings had grown to over 8,500 residents and 400 businesses, and today it continues to expand as one of the fastest-growing towns in the region.
Stallings offers a quiet, family-friendly atmosphere with easy access to everything the Charlotte area has to offer. Some popular spots in and around the area include:
Whether you are commuting to Charlotte for work or running errands around town, window tinting makes every drive more comfortable and keeps your vehicle looking sharp. Stallings residents value quality and taking care of what they own, and that same mindset is what brings so many local drivers to Sun Stoppers for their automotive window tinting needs.
Sun Stoppers is proud to serve Stallings, NC and all surrounding neighborhoods including Shannamara, Emerald Lake, Fairhaven, Southstone, Sardis Woods, Idlewild South, and the Stevens Mill area.

Scott Dippolito:
“Great and friendly service! Originally called for an appointment for window tinting and full front PPF on my new Tesla Model Y. Was told that earliest they could do the PPF was in roughly 2 weeks. However, Chris called me back to tell me they changed their schedule and could do the work the following day. Staff was courteous and very friendly when I arrived. They told me both the window tinting and PPF would be done by the COB the next day. It was actually done mid-day the following day. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, Chris and Justin walked around the entire vehicle with me to explain all the work they did and it all looks fantastic! They walked me through the curing steps and also explained the warranty for each product. They asked me to bring the vehicle back in 7-10 days to make sure all cured properly and inspect their work again. They also asked me to bring the vehicle back once a year to check for any issues or to address any warranty items. Very happy with their service and workmanship. I’m glad I decided to have the work done at the Concord location!”
Mike Urbano:
“Extremely friendly people running this shop and also very informational! I got a new vehicle and was in for a tint appointment that came out unbelievable! I’m definitely going back to get there PPF option knowing the care they put into each vehicle like it’s there own.”
