Yes, it can! We recommend having Sun Stoppers remove it to better protect your car. However, if you want to do it yourself, it is possible by heating the film with a heat gun and carefully scraping it off.

If you are offered paint protection at a local Charlotte dealership, it’s probably best to turn it down. Most dealers offer lower-quality paint protection that doesn’t last as long. Different dealerships offer various paint protection methods, but the most common is some kind of synthetic paint sealant. While these sealants do help to protect your vehicle, they are usually less effective and don’t last as long as XPEL’s products.
You can apply wax to a vehicle that has a paint protection film. Just make sure the wax doesn’t contain Kerosene or Naptha in over 5% concentration. Also, avoid waxes that come with dyes.
